Magazine cut-outs from childhood. The detritus of growing up in the 90s — toy adverts, cereal boxes, the visual language of being eight years old. Two pieces that started in the same place but found different endings.

This is screen printing stripped back to what it was before it became precious. Before editioning and gallery walls. Back when it was just experimenting with whatever you could find — newsprint, photocopiers, cutting up magazines with kitchen scissors.

Each piece layers screen-printed elements with hand-painted sections. The kind of hybrid approach that happens when you've spent twenty years learning the rules just so you can break them properly. UV varnish catches certain areas, creates depth where there shouldn't be any. Magazine fragments become something else entirely — not nostalgia, but archaeology.

The oak frames are made by hand in the same Hertfordshire village where the prints were pulled. Float-mounted so the work breathes inside the frame. Everything about these pieces resists the clean, commercial approach to printmaking. They're messy in the right ways.

Two expressions of the same idea — childhood as collage, memory as material. "For Kids" leans into the toy-box chaos. "Play Over All" finds order in the fragments. Same source material, different conclusions. Both one-offs. Both signed on the back.
