Started with the letters. Four simple shapes that carry weight beyond their meaning. G-O-A-T. Greatest Of All Time. But this isn't about sports bragging or internet slang — it's about the letterforms themselves, the way they sit together, the space they command.
Six layers build the image. Five colours laid down one at a time, each pull of the squeegee adding depth. Then the black glitter layer — not decoration, but integral to how the piece works. The glitter catches light differently depending on where you stand, where the light falls. Changes the work throughout the day.
This is hand-pulled screenprinting at its most direct. No digital shortcuts. No printing press efficiency. Each of the 45 prints pulled individually through screens stretched and prepared in the Kimpton studio. The 310gsm Madrid litho paper stock holds the ink layers without buckling, takes the glitter without losing detail.
The 400mm square format gives the letters room to breathe. They're not cramped, not shouting. Confident enough to sit in their space and let you come to them. The black glitter layer adds texture you can feel — run your finger across the surface and you'll know this wasn't made by a machine.
Screen printing with glitter is awkward work. The particles clog screens, make registration harder, demand different timing on each pull. Most commercial printers avoid it. But when it works, when the particles sit exactly where they should, the piece lives differently than flat ink ever could.
Each print signed and numbered by hand. Edition of 45 only. When they're gone, they're gone. No reprints, no second editions. This is how direct-to-collector works — finite numbers, no gallery markup, straight from the person who made it.
This is for collectors who understand that G-O-A-T isn't about claiming to be the greatest. It's about recognising greatness when you see it, in sport, in music, in the way four letters can command a room when they're made right.
