Everyone's looking. Swiping, scrolling, hoping. That restless energy of searching for someone who gets it. Gets you.
This series started with a simple question: what does that feeling actually look like? Not the Instagram version. The real thing. The vulnerability of putting yourself out there. The hope that keeps you going despite the false starts and near misses.
I spent months working through different approaches. Hand-drawing figures, experimenting with layered type, trying to capture something that's both desperate and beautiful. The breakthrough came when I stopped trying to illustrate love and started printing the search itself.
Each print in this series takes the same core idea but pushes it in a different direction. Different colours, different moods, different moments in that universal journey. Some lean into the loneliness. Others celebrate the hope. All of them acknowledge that looking for love is messy, human, and somehow essential.
The screenprinting process mirrors the search. Layer by layer, you're building something without knowing exactly how it'll turn out. Each pass through the squeegee changes everything. Sometimes you get registration perfect. Sometimes it slips. The imperfections become part of the story.
I'm printing these in my studio in Kimpton – the village where I grew up, where I learned that connection matters more than perfection. Three layers, hand-pulled on heavyweight paper. Thirty of each variant. When they're gone, they're gone.
