"I started by looking at music notes on sheet music, which lead me to the 4/4 beat, which in turn lead me to the phrase 'four on the floor' - a phrase widely-used in the disco era. The term is derived from the basic way the bass drum is hit with the foot pedal 1-2-3-4 This beat forms the backbone for all disco tracks.'
