How I remember - Original Art

There's something about putting red against purple that makes it sing, and because the red is transparent, you can see straight through to the layers underneath, like a curtain pulled back into the seventies. The background is built from American magazines and ephemera, picked up on a trip to the States chasing down original seventies print material. The pastel ground at the bottom holds the flowers up, growing out of it rather than sitting on it. Another piece born from playing with inks and chemicals I hadn't tried before, and I kept going because I was enjoying it.
