NEVRDULL — Hand Pulled Screenprint

I collect things. Always have. Tins that catch the light in charity shops, toys with their paint worn off, objects that most people walk past. This piece started with a Nevr-Dull tin — that metal polish your dad might have used — sitting in my studio for months.

NEVRDULL brings together that philosophy. A curated collection of forgotten objects arranged into something that makes you look twice. The kind of still life that wouldn't hang in a country house — these are the things we actually live with.

Four layers of CMYK screenprint build the image. Each colour pulled by hand through the mesh, building up the shadows and highlights that give these everyday objects their weight. The process mirrors the subject — taking time with things that don't usually get attention.

Two ways to finish this one. The diamond dust version catches light like those old tin surfaces, tiny glass particles scattered across the wet ink. Creates this texture you can feel from across the room. The varnish version goes cleaner — still hand-pulled, still signed, but without the sparkle.

This is Camberwell training meeting village studio reality. Twenty years of screen printing just to get to the point where I can arrange some tins and make them matter. Each print takes hours — mixing inks, registering screens, pulling each layer clean.

Care: Keep away from direct sunlight. Frame with UV-protective glass if you're going that route. The diamond dust will catch fingerprints, so handle with care.
