Radical! Big, bold, unapologetic — a screen print that arrives loud and stays loud. The word fills the entire composition in chunky, retro letterforms that tip their hat to the golden age of hand-drawn display type. Think seaside arcades, skate culture, the kind of energy that absolutely refuses to be quiet. Hot pink floods the background — the kind of pink that doesn't ask permission. The letters themselves are built up in soft silver-grey, with deep teal shadow layers stacked beneath to give everything that satisfying three-dimensional push. It's typographic confidence at its absolute finest.
The Print
This is a 3-layer screen print measuring 495x495mm, with blue hot foil worked into the design. That foil catches the light in a way that ink alone simply cannot manage. Depending on how you angle it, the letters shift and shimmer — it's one of those details that elevates a print from decorative to genuinely collectible. Up close, you can see the texture of the ink sitting proud on the surface, the slight variation that tells you this was pulled by hand, not rolled off a machine.
The Misprint
Now, the important bit. This is a misprint. It didn't make it into the main edition for a reason — there is a slight stain in the top right corner. It's not catastrophic, it's not pulling your eye away from the image, but it's there and I'm being completely straight with you about it. Please check the photos carefully before buying. What you see is what you get, no surprises at the other end.
That said, this is exactly what makes misprints worth having. They carry the evidence of process — the human hand, the squeegee drag, the moment something went slightly sideways on the press. Every edition throws up a few. Most get binned. This one made it out, and it's got real character because of it. Misprint doesn't mean broken. It means honest.
Practical Bits
Postage and packaging is included in the price, so what you see is what you pay. It'll be packed carefully and sent out rolled, ready to flatten and frame at your end. The square format works beautifully with a bold, simple frame — give that pink room to breathe and let the foil do its thing in the light. It doesn't need fussing over.
Who is this print for? Collectors who understand that hand-pulled means unrepeatable. Once it's gone, it's gone. Own a piece of British screenprint craft.
