Six layers of ink. Six passes through the press. Each one building the moment when sound becomes everything.

Music's Takin' Over started with that feeling you get when the right track hits at exactly the right time. Not background music. Not something pleasant. The kind of music that rewrites the room. Changes your pulse. Makes everything else irrelevant.

The image builds like a track does. Base layer first — the foundation you feel in your chest. Then the mid-range colours, the frequencies that fill the space between heartbeats. Finally the highs, the details that make your skin prickle. Six screenprint layers because that's what it took to capture something you can't actually capture.

This isn't about any particular genre or era. It's about surrender. That moment when you stop trying to think over the music and let it think for you instead. When your body decides what happens next. When the volume isn't loud enough until it's too loud, and then it's perfect.

Each print gets pulled by hand through the same screens that made the last one, but they're never identical. The ink builds differently. The pressure varies. The registration shifts by fractions. Forty prints that share the same DNA but breathe differently.

320gsm Madrid litho paper because it can handle six layers without buckling. Square format because the image needed equal weight in every direction — music doesn't move in straight lines. Sold unframed because how you present it should be your choice, not mine.
