We Can Make It Happen (misprint) is exactly the kind of print that makes you stop and stare. Bold, loud, unapologetic. The kind of thing you put on a wall and it just takes over the room. This is a six layer hand-pulled screen print measuring 700x250mm, and even as a misprint it is genuinely stunning.
The Print
Look at that colour. A deep, punchy green background, a thick retro border striped in yellow and red, and then those letters. Big, chunky, slab-serif typography spelling out We Can Make It Happen in a stacked vertical layout that feels like it was lifted straight from a 1970s poster. The letterforms are dark, almost black, but behind them layers of yellow, gold, red and orange bleed out in a cascading shadow effect that gives the whole thing this incredible sense of depth and movement. Six layers. Six passes through the press. That is the craft right there.
The retro vibes are strong here. This is the kind of typography that feels like it belongs on a concert poster, a protest banner, a moment in time. There is warmth to it, optimism, a real sense of collective energy. We Can Make It Happen. You believe it when you read it.
The Misprint
Now here is the thing about this one. It is a misprint, yes. There is a smudge over on the left side and honestly it is hardly anything wrong at all. There is also a crease. But that is it. Please check the photos carefully so you know exactly what you are getting. These are the marks of a hand-made process, of ink and squeegee and human hands doing the work. No two prints ever come off the press identical, and this one carries its own story.
Some collectors actually seek out misprints. They are rarer than the regular edition. They exist in smaller numbers, they carry the evidence of the making, and they are RARE. This is not a second rate print. It is a first rate object with character.
The Details
Size is 700x250mm, a long panoramic format that suits the stacked vertical type beautifully. Six layers of screen printed ink. Postage and packaging is included in the price, so what you see is what you pay.
Who is this print for? Collectors who understand that hand-pulled means unrepeatable. Once it's gone, it's gone. Own a piece of British screenprint craft.
