Fat X (misprint) is exactly what it says it is. A big, bold, chunky X. No deeper meaning. No conceptual gymnastics required. Sometimes the most satisfying thing you can do is draw a massive X and make it look incredible, and that is precisely what this print does.
The Image
That X is rendered in a hot, punchy magenta pink with a cool blue-teal shadow pushing it forward into three dimensions. It sits on a periwinkle blue square background, framed by a thick hot pink border. Running around that border, hand-lettered in black, is the text that says everything you need to know: sometimes there's nothing better than drawing a big fat X with no meaning it just looks good. And honestly? It does. The colour combination is loud and unapologetic. The 3D geometry gives the X a cartoon weight, like it could fall off the paper and land on your floor. It is the kind of print that stops people in a room.
The Print
This is a 400x400mm, 4 layer screen print, hand-pulled in the studio. Four layers of ink, each one laid down by hand, built up to create that depth of colour and that crisp, graphic quality you just cannot get from a digital print. The layers are what make it — the way the colours sit on top of each other, the slight texture of the ink on the paper, the physicality of it.
The Misprint
Here is the honest bit. This is a misprint. There is a black scuff mark on the black layer. It is there. Please check the photos carefully before you buy so you know exactly what you are getting. This is not a perfect edition print — it is a misprint sold at a misprint price, which means you get a genuine hand-pulled screen print for considerably less than you would otherwise. The image is still bold, still punchy, still very much itself. The mark is what it is.
Postage and packaging is included in the price. It will be packed carefully and sent straight to your door.
Who is this print for? Collectors who understand that hand-pulled means unrepeatable. Once it's gone, it's gone. Own a piece of British screenprint craft.
