Bubble Eye (misprint) is a bold, electric screenprint that hits you hard before you even get close. A woman stares out from a deep cobalt blue background, her hair an impossible wave of yellow, orange, red and violet that coils and crests like something alive. Over her eyes sit those enormous bubble lenses, round and reflective, catching fragments of colour and throwing them back at you. The whole thing vibrates.

This is a 5 layer hand-pulled screenprint on B2 paper, 500x700mm, with a deckled edge that gives it that raw, made-by-hand quality you just cannot fake. Along the borders and bleeding into the composition itself, glitchy columns of colour bars fragment the image — hot pinks, acid yellows, deep greens — like a television signal breaking apart or a vintage magazine dissolving at the edges. It looks intentional. It looks incredible. And yet, this one is a misprint.

Here is the thing about the misprint. The blue layer shifted during printing. Up close you can pick it out if you are looking for it. Step back a metre and honestly? You would never know. The image reads perfectly from a distance. The energy is completely intact. The colour, the composition, the sheer presence of the thing — all there. What you are getting is a print with a secret, a small mark of the process that only reveals itself when you are right up on it.

That is the nature of screenprinting. Every layer goes down by hand. Every pass of the squeegee is a decision. Sometimes the layers land exactly where they should. Sometimes they drift, just slightly, and something new happens. This is one of those prints. It is not a second. It is a document of process. It is proof that this was made by a human being in a studio with ink and pressure and time.

Please check all photos carefully before purchasing. The misprint is visible in the images and this listing is priced accordingly. Postage and packaging is included. Signed by the artist.

Who is this print for? Collectors who understand that hand-pulled means unrepeatable. Once it's gone, it's gone. Own a piece of British screenprint craft.
